FAQ
What's the difference between gold filled and gold plated? Gold filled has a thick layer of gold mechanically bonded to a base metal, usually around 5% of the item weight. Gold plated has a layer of gold applied over the base metal — these are Brass with a real 18K gold plated finish. How long a plated finish lasts depends on how heavy the plating is: a heavy plating wears far longer than a thin flash coat. Either way, keep the piece away from chemicals, perfume and water to protect the finish.
Why does it have two rings? The second ring sits on the back rather than the bottom, so these small gold charms can be worn two ways. Hang one from the top ring and it dangles like an ordinary charm; thread a chain through the back ring instead and the flower sits flat and face-forward against the chain, which is what makes it useful as a connector or a station in a necklace.
Will the stones vary? No. The stones are clear cubic zirconia set into a gold-tone flower, so every piece matches the next — the sparkle and the tone stay consistent from charm to charm. The reverse is plain polished gold-tone.
How many should I use on one bracelet? At 8mm these are accent pieces. Three to five spaced evenly reads as a daisy chain; used through the back ring they space beautifully as stations along a fine necklace.
