FAQ

What can I make with these? Bracelets, necklaces and earrings where a fresh, earthy green natural stone is wanted. It suits boho, nature-inspired and unisex designs.

Will the beads vary? Yes. Australian jade is a natural stone, so some beads are clean mint or apple green while others carry cream, tan or rusty brown matrix. Sizes vary from 7x9mm to 8x12mm, and most beads sit toward the smaller end.

Is Australian jade real jade? Australian jade is a trade name for chrysoprase, a natural green chalcedony from Australia that gets its apple-to-mint color from nickel. It is not jadeite or nephrite. The brown and tan patches are the natural host rock (matrix) it forms in.

How do they string? The hole runs approximately 1.0mm, which takes beading wire, nylon cord and thin elastic. Every bead is center drilled.

What pairs well with them? These natural stone beads sit especially well with gold, brass and copper findings, and with turquoise, picture jasper or wood beads.
