Abalone Shell Rectangle Beads — softly squared tiles cut from natural abalone, polished on one face to reveal flashes of peacock green, teal and silvery blue over a warm smoky brown and cream ground, with the reverse left in its natural state. Every bead has slightly rounded corners and its own swirl of pattern, so a strand makes a lively focal run or a set of accent beads in bracelets, necklaces, earrings and layered designs.
