What's the difference between gold filled and gold plated?
- 18K Gold Plated (This Product): Real 18K gold applied over durable brass. Proper care (avoiding water, perfume, and harsh chemicals) preserves the bright finish long term.
- Gold Filled (Alternative): Features a thicker layer of gold mechanically bonded to base metal (at least 5% total weight) for heavy, daily wear.
