This 14K gold filled lobster clasp is genuine gold filled, not plating — a solid layer of 14K gold is mechanically bonded to a brass core under heat and pressure, and by law makes up at least 1/20th of the total metal weight. It is stamped GF right on the clasp to confirm it, and it resists tarnishing and wear far longer than gold plating.
